Olena Linse is an artist who reinterprets portrait art from a female perspective. Her works depict not only human faces, but also the soulscapes of the sitters. Olena Linse often uses a keyhole perspective, allowing only part of the face to be seen while the rest of the image conveys a deeper meaning. Born in 1978 in Dubno, Ukraine, she began taking drawing and painting classes at just fourteen years of age. She studied urban planning, but soon turned to art, finding favor in galleries in Austria and Switzerland. Her works have been exhibited in cities such as Zurich, Basel, Vienna, Paris, and New York. In 2015, she was discovered by Nour Nouri, which led to exhibitions in China. Olena Linse paints nudes from a female perspective, contrary to the traditional male view. Her depiction of the female body symbolizes self-discovery and emancipation, not male desire. Her art uses warm, earthy colors and aims to convey peace and love.
